Examinations Available
The CDCA-WREB-CITA Sedation/Anesthesia Competency Assessment Exams are designed to assess the clinician’s current knowledge base to provide in-office sedation and/or general anesthesia.
There are four examinations available, each specific to a level of sedation:
- Minimal Sedation
- Moderate Sedation
- Deep Sedation/General Anesthesia
- Pediatric Sedation
These examinations are computer-based multiple-choice exams delivered at a Prometric Testing Center. Each exam is comprised of sixty (60) questions that are designed to assess core knowledge, as well as assess the knowledge that is specific to the level of anesthesia being evaluated.
Examination Content
These multiple-choice questions are both didactic and case-based. The content is divided into the following categories.
- Pre-operative/Patient assessment
- Intra-operative
- Post-operative
- Emergency Management
- Case Scenarios
