The Florida Department of Health (FLDOH) has contracted with CDCA-WREB-CITA to provide the Laws and Rules examination. Successful completion of these examinations is one of the requirements for Dental and Dental Hygiene licensure in the state of Florida. The Laws and Rules examination is not part of the ADEX examination.
Please note: The CDCA-WREB-CITA does not develop the content for the Florida Laws and Rules examination. If you have any questions about the exam and study material provided you must contact the Florida Department of Health directly.
The Florida Laws and Rules examinations are computerized, and specific to dentists and dental hygienists. Each is administered in a testing center.
Dental candidates have 90 minutes to complete the 67-item multiple-choice Dental exam. Dental hygiene candidates have 90 minutes to complete the 64-item multiple-choice Dental Hygiene exam. The exam may contain unidentified “pilot” or experimental questions to expand the bank of questions for future examinations. The final score will not include responses to pilot items. Each scored item is worth one point. A passing score is 75%.
Results are automatically forwarded to the CDCA-WREB-CITA for processing and will post results in 10 business days. CDCA-WREB-CITA will electronically forward test results to the Florida Department of Health.
