The American Board of Dental Examiners offers the EFDA-Restorative Examination series as separate computer-based and clinical exam components as a pathway to licensure or endorsement to perform expanded function restorative procedures where allowed by state licensing jurisdiction.

Candidates test only those components required by the licensing jurisdiction. Candidates should confirm the testing requirements of the jurisdiction in which they are seeking licensure, certification or endorsement before registering for or attempting any exam component.

Refer to the Candidate Guide for eligibility requirements, and to the Candidate Manuals (below) for exam content, criteria and scoring.
